Measurements Guide
We are happy to give you a small guide line on how to take measurements your self .You can have a look at our sketch of the female torso and read our written guide to send us the right maeasurements so that we can give you the good fit of a Gyans outfit.
A) The chest measurement is taken over the fullest part of your bust line.
B) The waist is the curve on your torso .
C) The stomach is the part over your navel.
D) The hips are the fullest part over yopur buttocks.
E) The shoulders are when you place the tape from the back on your shoulders and take the measurement from the right bone to the left one.
F) The depth of the neck from back and front is taken diagonally from the tip of the side of your neck to the centre of your clevage and the same way for the back.
G) The length of the sleeve should be measured when you put the tape on the bone of your shoulders and then measure it to the desired length that you need.
H) Where the length of the sleeve ends is where you take the width of the sleeve.
I) For the saree blouse you need to take the dart point. So you put the tape on the centre of the shoulder and bring it down where your bust is at its fullest. It normally comes at 101/2 inches and could be more on heavier chest sizes.
J) The length of the salwar is taken from the waist til the toes of your feet and add a few inches for the length of your sandal heels.
K) The poncha is standard 8inches.Put the tape around your ankle and see the width of the poncha size you need.
L) For the trousers and churidars take the upper thigh which is where your leg begins the lower thigh where the knee begins,then around the knee,around the calf and then the ankle. Take a tight measurement as the churidars have a bias cut and to need a good fit you need a tight measurement.
M) For the length of the lehanga take the waist where you will be tying it and the length begining from where you are going to tie the lehanga. Please do add inches according to the heels you are going to wear.
